Fernie SAR was tasked this afternoon to rescue an injured snowmobiler. A 23 year old male, part of a larger group, sustained a significant lower leg injury while on his machine. The group stabilised the injury, stamped out an LZ and were able to provide coordinates. Two SAR techs responded by helicopter to the location on the Pipeline. The subject was delivered to BCAS in Fernie.
